Hey everyone, I've found the whole blog thing a little strange because I feel its a bit like you think people honestly give a crap about what you have to say and I think that's a little presumptious. Don't you think? 'Half Dead' volume 1 took me a while, It was my life for many months, but now I'm doing other artwork I wanted a place to showcase it and I thought this was the wrong place to do it. So until I get round to sorting out a personal site I'm posting artwork on a blog. I promise to keep the intellectual banter and posturing to a minimum

Hey everyone, its Jimmy Bott, I just wanted to talk about Studio Space One. SS1 is a website which I just recently became a member of. It's been built to help promote and support artists and designers in the UK. A great idea by group of ex-students from PCAD (Plymouth College of Art and Design, which I also happened to study at) now successful in their chosen fields, they wanted to provide a service that helped students and fellow professionals by providing a space to show their work, from SS1s already large group of clients being able to give big businesses a direct link to both established and new talent. Also SS1 provides vetting and mentoring services, so that they try and make sure the artist knows about the kind of copyright and contracts they should be looking for and that the client is a reliable payer. The site also includes tips and hints and a message board. With the site only just recently being launched, I really hope it continues to grow and evolve into a great little community. Please show your support by popping along and taking a little look. More HALF DEAD news soon.

If you haven't heard already, on monday night at the Diamond Summit, Marvel announced that Dabel Brothers Production was to become an imprint of Marvel Comics. It's great news. It's been a wild ride for us going from Speakeasy to Dabel Brothers and now a part of Marvel. Unfortunately 'Half Dead' has been rescheduled a tiny bit. But don't worry, it'll be with you all soon. I hope you think its worth the wait. You can read more about the announcement here at NEWSARAMA

Hey everyone. I'm sorry we haven't posted in a little while, it's all been a little crazy here (but in a really good way). This is Jimmy Bott by the way and I'm just posting to say after over a year of working a day job and drawing 'Half Dead' late into the night and during weekends, I've finally finished all the line art. YAY . Our fantastic colorist, Dean Welsh, is busily working away coloring the final chapter then all that's left is spectacular letterer, Simon Bowland, to work his magic on the pages and VOILA! it'll all be complete. It's been a long, fun, magical and sometimes rough journey. But I'm really glad I've taken it.

I've known Wes Gunn and Kanila Tripp a long time, its got to be about 7 years now I think. Wes is an awesome artist and animator, take a look through his online gallery. Kanila Tripp, colorist extraordinaire, this guys colored so much awesome stuff. X-men, Ultimate Adventures, Blacklight, mutant 2099, Sleepwalker just to name a few and was the color editor over at wildstorm FX for some time. Currently a member of argh studios I've seen him color some stuff over Nicola Scott for fun and it looks beautiful. The pinup was inked by Marc Deering.
