Greetings fellow nerds!

Well, things have been getting a little more serious in Half-Dead lately, so I thought we’d lighten the mood a bit.

This strip is also the start of a new advertizing camaign we’re trying out, complete with merchandise!!

That’s right.

We opened a new shop full of zTunes t-shirts, prints, stickers (and even iPad and iPhone cases!), plus lots of other awesome Half-Dead and zombie-related items!

Holy shit.

On March 15th Tamara and I attended an Orgy concert. What an amazing experience.

We aqcuired backstage passes and went to the pre-show meet and greet with the band. We were invited onto Orgy’s tour bus to hang out with the band and get pictures, autographs, etc. We hung out with Ashburn, Nick, and Jamie for a bit, but Jay Gordon was held up until about ten minutes before showtime. He was apologetic, but in a big hurry to prep for the show, so he promised that we would all reconviene back on the bus, after the show.

The show was amazing, considering the amount of technical difficulties with Jay’s mic, Nick’s bass guitar, and the abscence of guitarist Carlton Bost. They played all the singles (Stitches, Opticon, Blue Monday, Dreams in Digital…) and some of my favorite, more obscure songs (107, Dissention, Fetisha, etc.) and during the show-stopper ‘Blue Monday’, Jay ran offstage, into the crowd to sing the whole song while jumping up and down with the WHOLE crowd and even throwing in the chorus from ‘Spin Me Round’ from New Order.

After the show, we all met back on the bus for pictures, autographs and drinks. I got to tell Jay about ‘Half-Dead’ and he said (and I quote) “I LOVE IT!” I talked to him about an Orgy-themed strip and he was all for it.

So, for the last three days, I’ve locked myself away in the studio and slipped away into the Orgy universe. This is the result of that unbelievable weekend…
