The Story
Combining the chills of modern horror with the excitement of cinematic action, Half Dead is the story of two conspiracies, human and vampire, fighting for control of London in the present day with gas attacks, soldiers, suicide options, religious icons, and inhuman science used by both sides to keep their pawns alive and fighting whether they want to or not. A ballerina, Romany, comes back from certain death changed into a form to which a clean death might have been preferable. She's just one of a number of people manipulated into fighting a covert war they'd rather run from or die than try to win -- sometimes the good guys can be at least as bad as the dark forces of evil.

BARB
Job Title: Co-writer of Half Dead
Name: Barb Lien Cooper
Date of Birth: I have always been here before. I don't answer questions about my age.
Location: Austin, Texas, USA
Resume: A founding member of SEQUENTIAL TART; Former Managing Editor, COMIC BOOK ARTIST; creator, GUN STREET GIRL; co-founder, WICKER MAN STUDIOS; co-writer, THE PARK AND BARB SHOW, found at silverbulletcomicbooks.com
Books you would love to work on: Mostly my own creator-owned stuff, because I have a ton of it. ...But I wouldn't turn down anything involving the more magical or noir sides of established comics.
Comments: I'm always so very thankful when readers and critics enjoy my comics. I think I've been the luckiest writer on earth as far as the artists I've been able to work with. There would be no HALF DEAD if not for the faith that Jimmy Bott's had in it. The hard work and talent of Jimmy really brought the storytelling to life. I'm very sure that all the artists I've worked with such as Jimmy and Wes and Ted on HALF DEAD as well as my good friend and artist Ryan Howe on GUN STREET GIRL are destined for great things. In HALF DEAD, I've tried to write a story that is worthy of the many people who have believed in me.
